Seven benefits of referring someone to a clinical trial:
1. Patients receive a professional psychiatric diagnosis, evaluations, lab work (chemistry, hematology, urinalysis), ECGs, and physical exams – hundreds of dollars of services at no cost to patients. Study participants are reimbursed for travel expenses.
2. Patients may face financial constraints or physicians may have waiting lists or limited availability. Clinical trials provide an alternative. Patients receive careful, ongoing medical supervision from licensed and Board-certified professionals.
3. Patients and their families may benefit by gaining a deeper understanding of the condition under study (e.g., depression, anxiety, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder).
4. NeuroScience, Inc. provides Aftercare Services for patients who complete clinical trials. Aftercare may include medication, cognitive behavioral therapy, or reimbursement for patients’ visits to their primary care provider.
5. Patients may participate in clinical trials to benefit themselves or to contribute to the body of knowledge about safe and effective treatment options for physical and psychiatric conditions.
6. Study participation is voluntary, and patients can discontinue at any time. NeuroScience, Inc. provides patients with assessment data and referrals to health care providers.
7. Physicians benefit from the knowledge gained through clinical trials. The medications you prescribe are available because people participated in clinical trials.
