Sajjad A. Khan, Ph.D., MSW, LCSW

Sajjad Khan, PhD, MSW, LCSWSajjad Khan, PhD, MSW, LCSW, an experienced clinician and researcher, has worked with families, children, adolescents, and adults since 1995. He works with clients on the autism spectrum (including Asperger’s and PDD diagnoses), neurobehavioral disorders (specializing in ADHD treatment), mood disorders (depression, bipolar, anxiety disorders), and psychotic disorders. Dr. Khan’s services for families include treatment plans, parent training, coordination of behavioral interventions with parents and teachers, social skills training, and adaptive function coaching.

Prior to joining NeuroScience, Inc., Dr. Khan worked for nearly a decade at Eli Lilly and Company, where he conducted clinical and health outcomes research. Prior to that, he conducted clinical trials and worked in a community mental health center. Trained in both quantitative and qualitative methods, his interests include psychiatric and health-related quality of life outcomes, neuropsychiatric genetics, and health policy.

Dr. Khan’s research perspective is informed by his experiences as a clinical social worker and Health Psychologist, working with diverse populations in psychiatric and community mental health settings. Dr. Khan has conducted research in a variety of therapeutic areas, including psychiatry/psychology, women’s health, oncology, respiratory medicine, and endocrinology. His work has been presented at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, the College of International Neuropsychopharmacology, the American Society for Experimental Neurotherapeutics, the International Society of Neuropsychiatric Genetics, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Khan has publications in the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology, the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, Current Psychiatric Reports, and the American Journal of Medical Genetics.

Dr. Khan received a PhD in Health Psychology from Capella University and completed a preceptorship in Pediatric Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University. He also received an MSW degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Therapy and Pre-Med Biology from the University of Maryland. Dr. Khan was the Chair and Coordinator of the National Association of Social Workers, Indiana Chapter, specialty focus group on Children and Families. Dr. Khan is licensed to practice in the State of Virginia.
